Pillars of the Earth is a huge book but well worth it. I never thought I would enjoy a book about priests, monks, and building cathedrals, but it was fantastic. There is susupense, action, and romance--what more could you want? I highly recommend it. Enjoy!

When I was an undergrad studying Art History (which was my major), the Chair actually recommended this book as we were studying Gothic Churches, etc. I haven't read it all, but I guess the info regarding architecture is spot-on. So, this can be considered educational as well as entertaining--a guilt free book!
